Testimonies of Gratitude

 Thanksgiving
As we work our way through the current study called "Habitude of Gratitude", Pastor Lewis thought it might be nice to reflect on some of the things that we are thankful for in our lives.  By taking time to acknowledge and recognize how much God has already done for us, we can say with certainty that we have a lot to be thankful for!

Take a minute and read some of the testimonies that our fellow Unity Baptist Church members have shared.  Find inspiration and hope in knowing that our God is Real, Alive and most of all that He Loves us!

Nov. 1, 2009 - I am thankful for my husband Wayne. On Nov. 24 we will celebrate 30 years of marriage.  To say that I am thankful for him seems to be too much of an understatement.  He has given me 30 wonderful, happy, loving, peaceful years.  I thank God for my Wayne.

Col. 3:17

Nov. 8, 2009 - When I consider all of the things I am grateful for one thing remains at the top of my list and that is my salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ.  Sure I am thankful for my family, my health and my every breath.  But we all know these things will pass away.  Our eternal beings are just that ~ eternal.  Without grace and mercy and the ultimate sacrifice made on our behalf ... our eternal existence would be bleak.  So, I am eternally grateful for Jesus and the love He showed when he died on the cross for me.  For me.  Wow.

Thanksgiving Day Prayer

Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to you and pray.
We give You thanks for all You’ve done
Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.
For beauty, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.

Drinking from our saucer, because our cup has overflowed!
